2006-2007 Regional Schedule


September

  • Team registration begins on September 13. Registration packages will be mailed out to high schools in and around the greater Kingston area. Didn't get one? Contact us!
  • Our Regional Directors, Kate Evans and Kristin Rodgerson, will contact all schools to chat about their expectations, this year's tournament, and to answer any questions you might have.
  • Schools should get their teams together and start practices this month.

    October

  • Training season opens! Each team is entitled to one free 3 hour session of training with their registration to the tournament. Our talented and committed legion of trainers will travel to each and every school to solidify the mandates and techniques of the Canadian Improv Games.
  • Contact our Head Trainer Dustin Freeman to book your session.
  • Note: Training season officially closes February 6, 2008, exactly two weeks before the beginning of the Regional Tournament. Be sure to book your training during open season!

    November

  • Note: The the deadline for registration in the Kingston Regionals is November 24!
  • Our official Canadian Improv Games training sessions continue throughout the month of November. Any extra trainings can be obtained for a small fee - contact our Head Trainer for more details and/or to book.

    December

  • This year's Winter Workshops will be held in Theological Hall on Queen's Campus on Saturday, December 1. Registration costs cover fees for this day long event (8 players, 2 coaches). All teams and coaches are encouraged to come out to this incredibly valuable day of workshops. It's a fantastic opportunity to learn a myriad of techniques, to make new friends with other players from the tournament, to ask questions, get answers, and get some experience on stage!
  • Exhibition Rounds will be held in the Rotunda Theatre on Queen's campus Friday, November 30 and Saturday, December 1.

    January

  • If your school wishes to host an Invitational, please contact Kate Evans for advice and to work out details.

    February

  • Whoa, it's time for Kingston's 11th Annual Regional Tournament of the Canadian Improv Games!
  • The Kingston regional tournament will take place (prelims and finals) in late February... stay tuned for details!
  • After Finals, it's time for the party of the year... improv-style! Stay tuned for the details of this blow-out for players, volunteers, and coaches!

    March

  • Necessary recovery period after a crazy month of improv madness... basking in the AWESOME memories of this year's improv season. Aaahhh.

    April

  • National Festival and Tournament in Ottawa! Dates coming soon!
